Jaipur: A special team of city police on Tuesday arrested a man who had opened fire on a 64-year-old project consultant outside the Vaishali Nagar Office of the National Highway Authority (NHAI) on August 26.
DCP (West) Richa Tomar said Ramdhiya had been arrested and efforts were being carried out to recover weapons used in crime.
“Ramdhiya is the main shooter who shot dead Rajinder Kumar Chawla outside the Nhai office,” said Tomar.
The image of a police officer on the incidentpolice match site on Saturday has captured another shooter from Haryana which was identified as one Dharmendra Singh.
According to the addition of DCP RAM Singh, both Dharmendra and Ramdhiya are Panipath residents in Haryana and given Rs 15 Lakh to shoot Chawla.
“The shooter was ordered to wait in the park near the NHAI office.
Around 2:00 p.m., Naveen who was accused of visiting them to give a complete description of Chawla including the shirt he was wearing so that the shooter could identify their target,” said Singh.
Moments later, Chawla came out of the meeting for smoke.
The shooter was signaled that the man who smoked outside was their target.
“The two shooters went near Chawla and Ramdhiya fired it from close range,” said Singh.
“Ramdhiya is the main accusation that has shot in Chawla.
He and Dharmendra then took the car to take the bus to Gurgaon, from there, another suspect, Shekhar, picked them up and transport them to their village,” Singh added.
Police said the two shooters were asked to come to Gurgaon on August 25.
The next day, they consumed a kind of narcotics before leaving for Jaipur.
“We have formed a special team that tracks all vehicles that have passed certain locations on the day of crime which finally helped us reveal all conspiracies,” Singh added.
The police on Friday had claimed to make a breakthrough in this case after four were accused of being identified by the police as Karandeep Shortoran (29), owner of infrastructure e5 Pvt Ltd, Naveen Bisla (31) and Amit Nehra (26) and Amit Nehra (26)).
Along with two shooters and four conspirators, the police had caught a total of six accused so far.
“Investigations are underway to examine the involvement of other suspects in conspiracy,” Singh said.
