The main suspect, accomplice claimed to trigger communal violence against Hindus in Bangladesh

Dhaka: The main suspect and his legs accused of securing communal hatred on social media and inciting recent violence against the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh have recognized their crimes in the pre-trial hearing, said a court official.
Shaikat Mandal claimed before the judge on Sunday that it was his Facebook post that led to violence in Rangpur, Pirganj District on October 17 during the Puja Durga celebration in the country.
Rabiul Islamic mandal jawta is a 36-year-old scholar, who has been accused of burning and looting.
“Shaikat Mandal and his accomplice of Rabiul Isam had acknowledged their role before a senior justice judge Delwar Hossain in (North-Western) Rangpur,” said court officials to the newspaper.
They were arrested from Gazipur on Friday in police attacks and were ordered under the digital security law.
Mandal is a student of the Philosophy Department of Rangpur’s Carmichael College, and was sent off from Wing Chhatra Wing Chhatra Students who came to power after his arrest.
