Ghaziabad: Police on Monday claimed to have solved the murder of a Rishi Chaudhary, who was shot dead at his home in the Muradnagar Ghaziabad area on July 14.
The police arrested a man on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, accused of being arrested identified as Ankit.
Meanwhile, two of his colleagues – Monu and Guddu – managed to escape.

Iraj Raja, SP (rural), said that the defendant had a property dispute with Chaudhary.
“As long as it was interrogated, Ankit said that the day before killing Chaudhary, he and several of his colleagues robbed someone from his bicycle in the Muradnagar area.
They then planned to go to Chaudhary’s house and kill him,” he said.
“We traced the bicycle number with the help of CCTV recording.
While we tried to track the defendant near Muradnagar, we saw several people with two bicycles.
The police suspected that one of the bicycles was used in Chaudhary’s murder.
When he saw the police, they stopped their bikes in the distance.
The police began to chase them, they fired a shot.
During the shootout, one of the police bullets hit Ankit’s feet and he fell on the road along with his bicycle.
The other two escaped from the place, “SP said.
“We took him to the nearest hospital for medical care and he was stable now.
He revealed the names of other people who helped them steal a bicycle night before the incident.
While a team has been sent to this person’s NAB, two other teams will try to catch Monu and Guddu,” He said.
The police recovered illegal pistols along with direct cartridges and bicycles from ownership accused.
They have been ordered based on part 302 (punishment for murder) IPC and ARM acting.
