Ahmedabad: A 42-year-old woman, tax and tax officials (GST) from the Chandkheda City area, on Saturday filed a complaint with the city police that her husband, an advocate, struggled to demand more money than RS 50 pocket money he used to give him every day.
The complainant said that he was married to a man from the Danilimsa City area in 2011 after he began living with him and his family members.
He said that immediately after their marriage, he was chosen as a junior officer in the GST Department.
He was told to travel from the AMTS bus just to save money, he told the police.
The complainant said that he was allowed to spend only Rs 50 a day by the family and if there was a violation of this rule, he was usually beaten by his husband and in-laws.
He accused in the FIR that her husband used to refuse every time he tried to dress up well for the office, suspecting extra marital infidelity.
On August 15, he was heavily armed with her husband.
He then went to his father’s place when his father noticed that everything was not right in his in-laws.
He said that when his family members raised this problem in front of her husband, her husband again attacked him badly while his brother-in-law hugged him by force.
He then approached the police and filed a complaint about causing illness and domestic violence against his husband and his in-laws.
