The man fell well while consuming liquor, died

Namakkal: A 40-year-old man fell into a 60ft-deep well while drinking alcohol by sitting on his wall and died in Tiruchengode Town here on Sunday night.
Fire service personnel and rescue have taken their bodies from wells after five hours of struggle.
Police Tiruchengode City identified the deceased such as N Manikandan, a Ayyagagoundampalayam resident of Pirivu Road Area.
A Coolie, he lived with his brother and Soundarjan, 43, after their parents died of a related disease a few years ago.
Police officers said Manikancan was an alcohol.
“On Sunday, he bought a bottle of liquor from Tasmac outlet and came to Sri Murugan’s temple in the city to consume the same thing.
He sat on the open well wall located opposite the temple and started drinking.” After almost an hour, the officer said.
That, Manikandan suddenly fell into the well.
Locals, who witnessed this, warned Tiruchengode Town police and fire service personnel and rescue.
After five hours of struggle, the officer said, fire service personnel and rescue took the body of Manikandan and sent it to a government hospital in the city for Postmortem.Police has registered a case and further investigation.
