Vadodara: The battle of ancestral land turned ugly when a 55-year-old man hacked his son to death in cold blood with ax in Kotambi Village Waghodiya Taluka on Friday midnight.
The man was allegedly revenge after he was physically harassed by the Son in another episode of the father-child argument over dinner.
According to Rural Police Vadodara, Kanu Parmar, the defendant had been detained and had been quarantined until the Covid-19 test report arrived.
The police said that after dinner, the family fell asleep, when the wife of Parmar Kailash woke up in the middle of the night after hearing a big sound.
He looked around the room to find noise and was surprised to see her husband hit their 25-year-old son, Rakesh, with ax.
Kailash screamed for fear, but the defendant continued to hit his son four to five times before leaving home and asked his wife to sleep back.
Kailash rushed to check Rakesh, who lay in a pool of blood, and called her brother and other neighbors.
Then, the police were also told and the murder case was registered in Parmar at the Waghodiya police station.
“The accusation was angry at his son who had disturbed him with the demands to give their family land to him .
The father boiled angrily and after everyone went to sleep, he decided to kill his son, “said In-Charge Inspector An Prajapati from the Waghodiya police station.
