Patna: A 35-year-old young man was attacked brutally by the horde of suspicion involved in the murder of a 14-year-old student, whose body recovered from the Mahnar police station in the Vaishali district on September 15.
It was human, identified as Dasrath Manjhi, saved by the police after facing rigid resistance from the local population.
Mahnar Sho Police Station Manoj Kumar admits Manjhi to the sub-division hospital.
The source said the bicycle and school bag owned by the deceased was found from agricultural land full of water after interrogating Manjhi.
“He was interrogated,” Sho said.
Meanwhile, the front delegation of Bhumihar Brahman Samjik filed a memorandum to IG (Range Tirhut) Ganesh Kumar on Monday, looking for his intervention in a murder case of a student.
Two former ministers – Suresh Sharma and Ajit Kumar – who are part of the delegation, then told the media that they would intensify their agitation if justice was not submitted to the girl’s family and the defendant was not arrested earlier.
The victim, a class X student, has disappeared while on his way to Patori from his home village Karnuti on September 14.
His body recovered from the land filled with water beside the Jandaha-Patori road the following day, triggering protest by the family.
