Thiruvananthapuram: The Cantonment Police on Friday recorded the arrest of a City Corporation employee for the murder of his colleague.
The police identified the defendant as Renjith, 46, from Rajaji Nagar.
He worked as an assistant office attached to the office of the Pallayam City Corporation Health Circle.
Shibu Renjan, 40, from Karamana is the deceased.
He is an office officer attached to the wing of the corporate technique.
Crime related to this case occurred at around 8:30 a.m.
on Thursday at Rajaji Nagar.
The two men broke into a fight after Renjith drawing a knife and stabbed in Shibu’s neck.
Even though he escaped from the scene, he was immediately detained from the Poojapura police station.
Shibu Renjan died immediately after the attack.
The police said that it was a dispute about Renjith’s transfer which resulted in the crime.
He reportedly looked for transfers from his office now, but there were several barriers in getting profitable orders.
He suspected that Shibu Renjan caused a transfer barrier.
