Tirupur: City Police arrested a 31-year-old man on Thursday for killing his 25-year-old wife.
The person arrested was identified as K Kumar, a native of Kasidharmam Village in Tenkasi District.
Kumar, workers, lived in a rented house at JJ Nagar on Jalan Vanjipalalayam here with his wife, Dhanalakshmi and two nine sons and seven sons.
Dhanalakshmi, who worked at the Banian company, established a relationship with a man based in Tencasi, said a police officer.
“He often goes there to meet him and also keep in touch on the phone.
On Thursday at around 2:30 a.m., a verbal altercation broke out between the couple for the affair.
Kumar, in anger, attacked Dhanalakshmi with a sickle Dead in that place, “added the officer.
15 Velapallayam police sent the body to Tirupur Medical College and hospital for Postmortem and registered a case against Kumar under the 302 (murder) of the Criminal Code.
Kumar is returned in judicial custody.
