Letter: Sleuth Branch Crime arrested a 24-year-old thief on Friday which allegedly killed a 20-year-old man in the relement of Road in Pandesara.
The deceased was stabbed in the neck when he tried to catch a thief when he stole valuables from his residence on Thursday.
Accused of Rohit Pathak alias, Nabbed from the Pandesara area after the police investigation expressed his involvement.
Pathak stole cash and valuables from Birendra Gupta’s residence that had died after midnight on Thursday.
After learning about theft, the deceased together with his brother Vijay went looking for the thief.
They found Pathak near their home and when Birendra tried to catch him, Pathak stabbed the Birendra in the neck.
Pathak also stabbed Vijay when he tried to save his brother.
The injured Birendra shifted to the hospital where he was declared dead.
He allegedly died of heavy blood loss.
Meanwhile, the crime branch team launched the search for thieves and arrested him.
