Chandigarh: UT Traffic Police officer arrested a red bicycle lift when he tried to steal his bicycle from sector 49 and handed it to the 49 police sector.
The defendant was produced in front of the local court, which returned it in police custody.
The police said the defendant was identified as Sumit, 20, a resident of Jagatpura, Mohali.
In his complaint, Jile Singh, a resident of the Irb Complex, Sarangpur, said that he worked in the wing of the UT police police and deployed at the point of light sector 46/47/48/49.
The police reached the light point for his job on his motorcycle on Friday morning.
He parked his motorbike near the PWD store in Sector 49 and had to work managing traffic at PointPoint.
Meanwhile, he noticed that his bullet motorcycle lost from where he parked it and he began looking for it.
Then, the police watched the unknown person dragged his bicycle from about 100 meters from where he parked it.
He chased and arrested the defendant.
Constable informed about the incident in 112 and the police team reached the place.
The defendant, Sumit was arrested and a registered case.
