Coimbatore: A 36-year-old man traced by a truck that dropped him from a two-wheeled vehicle near the caramadai here on Thursday night.
The Karamadai police said the incident occurred when M AN ANT, a resident of Seeliyur Village in their jurisdiction, was heading to the grocery store from his house on a motorcycle.
“When he reached the Seeliyur bus stop on Jalan Karamadai-Tholampalayam, a truck loaded with coconut hit a motorcycle.
Anand fell on the road and was destroyed under the wheel of the truck.
When the truck driver tries to apply the brakes, the vehicle is upside down, spread the coconut on the road, “said a police officer.
The villagers rushed to a government hospital in Mettupalayam, where the doctor said he died.
After this, his family members and relatives held Jalan Roko on Jalan Tholampalayam.
Jaramadai Police Inspector Kumar and Tim, managed to calm them down.
“We have taken a truck driver for an investigation and bring a truck to the police station,” the officer said.
The Karamadai police have registered a case against truck drivers and further investigation.
That body, meanwhile, was handed over to his family member after postmortem on Friday.
