Letter: A 24-year-old man who was convicted of rape and murder of a 10-year-old girl on December 10 was awarded the death penalty with a local court on Thursday.
The Court N A Anjariya, the additional session of the two special judges and judges for the protection of children from the sexual violation (Pocso) Act Court, was said that the defendant Dinesh Baisane was hung to death because of the crazy crime he had done.
Baisane has killed an underage child by hitting his head with a brick when he bit him in his hand and scratched him while fighting rape on December 7, 2020, in the Pandesara area of ​​the letter.
“This is an important assessment and sending important messages to anti-social elements,” said the government government of Nayan Sukhadwala.
“The prosecution had asked for a capital sentence considering the brutality carried out by the defendant in the little girl,” Sukhadwala said, adding that the court examined 32 witnesses in just 10 days during the trial.
The court also ordered the government to pay Rs 15 lakh as compensation for the families of the victims, Sukhadwala said.
The victim’s father said that he was satisfied with the verdict.
“We have lost our daughter and pray that no one passes through such trauma in their lives,” he said.
The two parents of the deceased worked as laborers and they used to dropped minor at home relatives during the day.
Baisane lives in a neighbor’s house of the relatives.
Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar said that preventing crime against underage children is their priority.
“Police, medical officers and justice officers have worked as a team for fast shipping justice,” Tomar Toi said.
According to the case details, Baisane has kidnapped a little girl from her home on December 7, 2020, with her attracted Pave Pav.
Then, Baisane took the girl to a place isolated and raped him.
When the girl refused and shouted for help, the defendant was afraid to get caught, kill her.
Postmortem’s report stated that there were 47 signs of injury to the girl’s body.
It then revealed that the deceased had received training about ‘a good touch, a bad touch’ at his school.
It is believed that because the girl’s training had tried to defend himself.
Baisane was immediately arrested by Pandesara Polda with the help of CCTV recordings where he was seen walking with the girl and then took an autorickshaw.
In 15 days after the crime, the police submitted a 42-page cost sheet in court where he was named 69 witnesses and a list of other evidence.
Among the evidence, the profile of DNA victims and Baisane defendants was submitted.
The police also submitted the recording of four CCTV cameras where the defendant was seen with minors.
Among the key witnesses were a driver of the Autorickshaw and an employee at the Vada Pav shop, both of which identified the defendant.
