Guwahati: A group of six unidentified criminals allegedly shot at someone in the daytime in Guwahati on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the Dhirenpara area, under the Fattern Ambari police station, in the afternoon.
Special Director General of Police (Law & Order) GP Singh, who rushed to place, said, “Someone suffered a bullet injury and had been rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.
The reason for shooting the person has not been confirmed.
We have launched an investigation into this case .
We will immediately arrest the culprit.
“The injured person has been identified as Mazumdar’s Litan.
He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The doctor said that he was stable.
Witnesses stated that the group had robbed a house in Dhirenpara while looking after the members of the house.
“They opened fire in Batuan when he tried to fight,” said one eyewitness.
Police said the statement of DPR members had been recorded in connection with cases and investigations had begun to raise criminals.
