Chennai: A man who sleeps on a bed outside his house was killed by an unknown gang in Semmemcherry on Sunday morning.
Victims were identified as Velu, 48, from the quarter tsunami.
The police said Velu Priya’s wife heard her shouts and rushed out to find her dead.
Police Semminerry sent his body to postmortem.
The investigation revealed that the son of the Velu and his son-in-law had earlier hostility with other families.
A man from the family, Vadivazhagan, was killed by a gang in Chetpet last month.
The Vadivazhagan family was said to have suspected the involvement of the Velu in the murder and allegedly hired a gang to kill him, police said.
The police have launched a hunt for murderers.
