Coimbatore: A 41-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for breaking into the Khadicraft shop near the Avinashi and Dekamping flyover with 58 Sari worth Rs 5.8 Lakh and Rs 55,000 on the night of July 30.

While he gave three sari to the driver of the car, the last one has returned it, accepting only one,” the officer said.
During interrogation, Murugan told the police that he had tried to open the Hundi at Temple Avinashi on Friday (July 30) night and was broken down into a grocery store in Pappanacedacepalayam and took a package of cigarettes on Sunday (August 1).
The officer said Murugan faced 14 cases of theft – six at the Peellamedu Police Station, four at the police station, three at the Kattoor police station and one at the Rathinapuri police station.
