Ghaziabad: A 52-year-old man died after he fell from the terrace of his house in the Modinagar Ghaziabad area.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night when the deceased walked on the terrace of his house along with his wife when the monkey attacked them.
Ashok Chaudhary, who works in a private company, sneaks and falls to the ground when he tries to pursue a monkey.
He was hospitalized but died on Wednesday during treatment.
Sunil Kumar Singh, Circle Officer of Modinagar, said that the family had not provided complaints.
Residents said that the number of monkeys in the area had increased for years and the civic body also did nothing to withstand threats.
Residents accused that unlike before no drive is done now to catch monkeys.
The day before, a four-year-old girl had fallen from the terrace of her house in the Kotwali area after being attacked by a group of monkeys.
The incident occurred when Daughter Amit Kumar Sanjana played on the terrace.
He tried to save him but at that time the toddler had slipped.
He was taken to the hospital but was declared dead by a doctor.
Rajneesh Gujjar, a resident of the area, said that two-three people were injured by monkeys every day.
“We have written to the Civic body on several occasions, but no one comes out of it.
GMC officials have never visited the area and we live in a constant fear,” he said.
Amit Kumar, Sho of Kotwali Police Station, said that underage parents did not provide complaints and even reject the autopsy.
