Pedestrians who were injured in an accident on the road involving the Bollywood Actor Bedi car in Suburban Andheri died during treatment, police said on Wednesday.
After the death of the victim who was injured on Tuesday late at night, the police nagar had added section 304-a (causing death due to negligence) from the Criminal Code about the FIR registered against the actor, an official said.
The actor hasn’t been arrested, he said.
“Rajesh Baudh’s accident, a laborer, was declared dead at the Cooper Hospital where he was treated for the past two days,” the official said.
The incident occurred on Monday night near a temple at Andher when the actor was on his way home, according to the police.
The pedestrian, who was drunk, suddenly came to the middle of the road and was hit by an actor car before the last one could apply the brakes.
The actor took the injured person to the nearby Cooper Hospital and then went to the police station D n Nagar where he told the incident to the police officer on duty, police said.
The police have registered a case against the actor under the Indian Code Section 279 (rash driving) and 338 (causing sad pain by acting to endanger the personal life or safety of others).
