Jorhat: The police saved an employee of a private company involved in the construction of a four-track national highway from his kidnapper in the Karbi District of Anglong Assam on Monday.
A kidnapper was shot dead by the police during the rescue operation.
A man identified as Ashok Yadav was kidnapped by unknown people from his workplace in the Docmoka area on December 10.
Yadav is an employee of an employee of a private company entrusted with the construction of a four-track national highway in the Karabi Anglong district.
The kidnappers demanded Rs 30 lakh ransom to release Yadav.
