City: The restaurant owner was killed and his son was beaten allegedly by his stepbrother over the dispute of the property under the Police Office Itawa here, a official said on Saturday.
Meena Sahablal (52) who had died (52) and defendants Budhiprakash Meena and Dinesh Meena, the villagers of Vinayka here, are running two separate restaurants in the city – Itawa State Highway, he said.
According to Itawa Station Station House Ramvilas, the restaurant run by Budhiprakash and Dinesh was closed for several months.
On Friday night, they arrived at the Sahablal restaurant and allegedly launched an attack on him with a stick.
They also allegedly hit him on the head with an iron rod, which led to a fatal injury.
He also suffered from some broken ribs and legs, and died in that place, said Sho.
Sahablal’s son, Hariram also suffered an injury to his head.
He was dismissed after primary medical treatment, the officer said.
The defendant escaped, he said, adding to them to be ordered for murder.
Sahablal’s body was handed over to his family after post-mortem, he said.
