New Delhi: The National Capital on Sunday recorded a maximum temperature of 39.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, said the Indian Meteorology Department.
The minimum temperature in the city settled 26.2 degrees Celsius, and the relative humidity was recorded at 68 percent, he said.
The weather office said the city tended to see most of the skies cloudy with the possibility of thunder and lightning on Monday.
The more minimum and the maximum temperature will settle around 27 and 40 degrees Celsius, he added.
Delhi air quality is in a moderate category on Sunday morning.
Data from the Central Polution Control Agency shows that the air quality index (AQI) at 6.05 PM stands in 137.
AQI between zeros and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfying, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 Very bad, and 401 and 500 severe.
