Kanpur: Mayor Pramila Pandey on Sunday directed by Chief Engineer, Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) to increase the number of campfires in the city remember the prevailing cold weather.
He asked Chief Engineer to ensure that dry wood was available for the campfire of the campfire site, and that they had to stay on late at night.
Authorities have made arrangements for campfires in the main places of the city such as home to residence, main crossings, bus stands etc.
“At present there are around 177 campfires in the city and they must be increased by 200”, said the mayor of social organizations has launched a blanket distribution campaign for the poor at the zone level.
