The Mayor’s Viral Video leads to a heated debate on the MCC Board

Mangaluru: Mangaluru Corporation Corporation Corporation Meeting held on Thursday, witnessing a viral discussion over Viral Video Mayor Premanand Shetty took MCC officials for corruption.

“I have seen someone who distributes each RS 500 here yesterday,” he told the Mayor, who reached the place after receiving complaints.
The Mayor immediately asked officials whether the office had a CCTV camera, and took them to the task not to clean the file for more than two months.
Increasing this problem, the Corporators Congress accused that people were forced to pay Rs 500 on each table at MCC.
Opposition leader A C Vinayaraj said that people have discussed corruption in PKS on the social media platform.
Another canporator from Congress, Naveen D’Souza, said that the Mayor immediately rushed to the MCC, when he received complaints about corruption.
“Such corruption is rampant in all parts of City Corporation.
We need to end this threat,” he added.

Meanwhile, this problem also causes thorn exchanges by corporators on the powerful parties and opposition.
In the introduction of e-Khata, the Nirman-2 building license application, and online property tax system at City Corporation, the mayor said that it would ensure transparency.
“We have introduced online facilities for public comfort here, in front of all other urban local agencies in the state.
There are many problems with software, and we learn by trial.
All such problems will be resolved soon,” said Mayor.
SWM: MCC approved the Startup’s DPR Council MCC has agreed to a detailed project report (DPR) delivered by city-based startups to implement solid waste management (SWM) in the city.
Mangala Resource Management Private Limited (MrMPL), which is associated with Mangaluru Ramakrishna Math, has applied for a cost-effective DPR to carry out the collection of door-to-door waste in 60 city wards, and manage it scientifically on the dump page in Pachanady.
City Corporation agreed to the DPR prepared by the agent in September, to invite tenders to SWM, after the existing contract from the handling of Waste Antony (AWHC) ended.
However, Deputy Commissioner K V Rajendra directed the startup to hand over the DPR.
At present, City Corporation pays Rs 3,750 per ton, for waste collection and transportation.
The DPR delivered by MRMPL offers that waste will be collected, transported and processed at the same cost, and there will be no escalation of charges every year.
The Mayor of Premanand Shetty said that the proposal would be sent to the government for final approval.
