New Delhi: Marking a decrease in the number of Covid-19 tests in many states and the United States, the center on Monday asked them to increase testing so that the effective path of the spread of pandemics can be stored and the centric actions of citizens can begin.
In a letter to the State and UTS, the additional secretary in the UNI Ministry of Health, the meaning of Ahuja suggested them to pay attention to this aspect immediately and increase testing in a strategic way that is in accordance with the case trends in certain fields.
He highlights that Omicron, which has been determined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a concerned variant, is currently spreading throughout the country.
Referring to the previous ministry letters and advisors of the Ministry of Home 27 December lasted the extensive Pandemic management framework in the omicron context, Ahuja said testing was key and important components.
“However, it can be seen from the data available on the ICMR portal that testing decreases in many states and the United States,” he wrote.
He said in all advisors about testing issued by the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR), including the latest on January 10, a basic objective fixed detection of early cases for isolation and fast care.
In addition, testing is still the main strategy for pandemic management because it helps in identifying new clusters and new infection hotspots which in turn can facilitate immediate action for detention such as detention zone settings, search and follow-up zone.

Repeating the Advisory of the purposive testing strategy issued by the ICMR on January 10, he said in community settings all the symptoms must be tested and all risky contacts of the case-confirmed laboratories must also be tested.

“To ensure that the effective track of the spread of pandemics is stored and also the actions of citizens who immediately begin, it is an obligation in all states / UTS to increase testing,” he said.
