BHubaneswar: Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik on Thursday almost inaugurated a tea packaging unit from consumer product limited products at Gopalpur Industrial Park on Ganjam.
The factory has been assigned within an 18-month range with RS 100 Crore investment and creates job opportunities for more than 900 people.
The factory with the current production capacity of 15 million kg will be developed as the largest tea packaging plant in this country because the company has planned to increase its capacity to 50 million kg in the future.
This is one of the most modern units with all advanced technology, official statement words.
This unit will meet the needs of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Central India.
It is operated by Private Limited Plantations, a second-largest consumer consumer colleague and producer in India.
The Minister of Prourse respects the role of the Tata Group in Odisha and said that it has played an important role in the development of the state industry.
He also appreciated the support of Tata Group to the state government to handle Covid-19 pandemics.
“They (Tatas) also advanced in catalyzing social development through partnering with state governments in education, health and skills development initiatives,” said Naveen.
Naveen said Odisha continued to stay at the forefront of industrial development in India.
“The policy framework and the mechanism of Odisha facilitation has succeeded in mobilizing investment in various sectors such as petrochemicals, processing of food, clothing and clothing.
Diversification of ongoing industrial bases will further increase job opportunities in Odisha,” he added.
The State Minister for the State of Shankar Mishra described the progress of the country in the development of the industry in the past two decades.
He said the state had provided a stable platform for the industry for healthy growth in Odisha.
Tata Steel Director V Narendran said that Tata Steel has invested more than the RS 60,000 Crore in Odisha in the last five years while Tata Steel has also invested the RS 500 Crore for infrastructure development in the Gopalpur Special Zone on the East Coast.
