The Minister of External Affairs Jaishankar meets Danish PM in New Delhi

New Delhi: Minister of External Affairs (EAM) Jaisankar on Saturday met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen who made a visit three days to India.
Previously today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Frederiksen at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi, where he was given ceremonial speech.
He also gave respect to Mahatma Gandhi in Rajghat.
Danish PM arrived in New Delhi on Saturday for his first Indian visit.
He was accepted by the Minister of State (MOS) for the external matters of Meenakshi Lekhi, at Delhi Airport.
Speaking after the ceremonial welcomed at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Frederiksen said that he saw the ambitious Indian government take responsibility for the problem of green transition in India and the whole world.
“Last year’s prime minister Narendra Modi and I signed and agreed to a green strategic partnership.
We see an ambitious Indian government who wants to take great responsibility when it comes to green transitions in India and all over the world,” Denmark PM said.

A spokesman for the external affairs of Arindam Bagchi said Frederiksen’s visit was the opportunity to review and advance India-Denmark’s green strategic partnerships.
Frederiksen will call President RAM Nath Kovind and hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of Modi.
He will also interact with think tanks, students and members of civil society.
India said the Frederiksen mette visit was very important because he was the first Head of State to visit India since the restrictions of Covid-19 have existed since last March.
Eam Jaisankar also visited Denmark earlier this year.
India and Denmark have a strong trade and investment bond.
More than 200 Danish companies are present in India and more than 60 Indian companies have a presence in Denmark.
