Lucknow: The day after Labor Minister Uttar Pradesh Swami Prasad Maurya resigned from the cabinet, along with four others, another senior minister – Dara Singh Chauhan – quit the Ministry.
Chauhan, who holds the forest and environmental portfolio, said he was forced to take this step because of the negligence of the government towards Dalits, to the back and farmers.
“I worked with the best of my ability to improve my department but saw the negligent attitude towards the back, seized, Dalit, youth and unemployed farmers, I was forced to resign from the ministry,” he wrote.
