New Delhi: SELL Olympic sports service mission (MOC) has provided additional financial assistance to the None of Rs 1.76 lakh for the Tokyo Wrestler Medalist Game Bajrang Punia to support the training of foreign exposure.
Bajrang, a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, previously approved a number of 7.53 lakh Rs for the 26-day training camp in Moscow ahead of the busy season.
He is now supported by an additional Rs 1.76 lakh for the ongoing tent which began on December 27.
Jitender and Anand Kumar each accompanied Bajrang as a sparring and physiotherapist partner.
Bajrang will compete in International Meets, including UWW rankings, Commonwealth games in Birmingham and the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
“I have to compete in the ranking series in Italy and Turkey this February and then the Asian championship in Mongolia in April.
I will give the best because I aim to change the color of my medal in Paris 2024,” said Bajrang in a statement issued by the Sports Authority India.
Wrestler Greco-Roman Sunil Kumar, meanwhile, has agreed to a total of 10.85 lakh rs towards a special training camp in Romania and Hungary with his partner and sparring coach.
Sunil, which is part of The Tops Development Group, will use foreign explanation trips to prepare for the upcoming Wortreed Worest wrestling event.
Sunil has won a gold medal in the 2019 and 2020 senior national championship, Asian Championship 2020 and a senior citizen in 2021.
In addition, Judoka Yash Ghangas has been included in the Olympic Podium Scheme (Peak) target in the development group.
