New Delhi: Defense Ministry on a proposal approved Tuesday worth 7,965 crore for modernization of the armed forces under ‘Make In India’.
The defense acquisition council was chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, giving acceptance of needs (AON) for the capital acquisition proposal for modernization and the operational needs of the armed forces of Rs 7,965 Crore.
“All of these proposals (100 percent) are under ‘Make In India’ with a focus on design, development and manufacturing in India,” said the Ministry of Defense in a statement.
The main approval of procurement of domestic sources including twelve mild utility helicopters from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (p); Lynx U2 Fire Control System of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) which will enhance the detection tracking capability and the involvement of naval warships and improving middle lives from Dornier aircraft from things to increase the capacity of maritime naval and coastal supervision.
In further encouragement for ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, the case of the global procurement of naval weapons has been taken over by the amount of this weapon added to the enhanced Super Rapid Gun (SRGM) Mountain produced by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (Bhel).
This SRGMS provides a niche ability to attract a quick maneuverability target using the Munisi extension and the guided range and must be installed on Indian naval warships.
