New Delhi: The Ministry of Defense on Friday announced that it had agreed to an increase in the number of honorary commissions given to Junior officers assigned (JCO) for the rank of lieutenant.
The Honor Commission was given to serve JCO on day and republican independence day in the last year their services in recognition of their service and their example contribution in the armed forces, the ministry statement noted.
JCO who gets the Honor Commission gets paid and retiring from honor.
“The ratio of the administration of the Honorary Commission since 1984 has been 12: 1000 for honoran honoran and vacancies proportional to the honor captain,” the ministry said.
Recognizing the contribution of JCO, this ratio has now been revised to 15: 1000 for honoran honoran, he said.
“This will provide an increase in opportunities for junior officers assigned to become honorary officers assigned before their retirement,” mentioned.
