New Delhi: Taking strong steps on allegations of forgery in the notes of officials considered for promotion to the second highest place in Indian coast guards, the Ministry of Defense has ordered an investigation at the joint secretary level to investigate this problem.
The Ministry of Defense Rajnath Singh ordered a probe into the alleged forgery in the record of the general ranking officer inspector considered for promotion to the Director General of Additional.
“After this problem was taken to the highest notice of the Ministry of Defense, the promotion board was removed and internal investigation at the Joint Secretary level was ordered to investigate the accusation,” said the Defense Ministry’s source here.
Defense Ministry officials confirmed that the investigation occurred on charges but declined to comment further about this problem.
Both Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar had adopted a zero tolerance policy on any corruption in the strict ministry and actions had been taken against the wrong official in the past.
The source said the problem began in July when the promotion board for one additional job Director General post was held.
Allegedly there is a difference in the sign given to each officer in the documents presented before the board and original documents in the Ministry of Defense Note.
Forgery, allegedly, will result in the promotion of a junior officer to a higher rank.
The Ministry of Defense Defense Department is the Indian Guard Beach Central Department while three other services are now guarded by the military affairs department under the defense chief of staff.
If the allegations of counterfeiting are proven, this can even lead to the dismissal of officials in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Coast Guard Law.
Indian coast guards are the youngest power under the Ministry of Defense and get their cadres officers as Director General under the Government of Narendra Modi in 2016.
The troops were previously ordered by the REPEATIONS of the Admiral of the Indian Navy.
