Kanpur: District administration has directed the department of food security and drug administration to gather more samples and conduct intensive checks in stores that sell edible items during the upcoming future festival period.
At the review meeting held by the district government on Wednesday, the officers appointed by Vijay Pratap Singh said that until September in the current financial year, the department had examined 3,722 food stores and outlets and collected 341 food samples after conducting 250 attacks.
Out of Lab Report as many as 415 food samples received by the Food Department 133 samples were declared sub-standard and 46 were found as the wrong direction and opposing the rules.
More than 14 samples found not feasible for human consumption, he added.
He said the Department of Food had submitted 227 cases against the defendant before the Defined Authority (ADM City) and 28 cases in the Court.
The prescribed authority has so far decided around 28 cases and imposed a fine for Rs.20.70 lakh songs, he added.
Providing previous financial year data (20-21), the appointed officer said that as many as 6,846 food institutions were examined and 999 samples were collected after 999 attacks.
Laboratory reports from 989 samples, 384 samples were declared sub-standard, 123 as wrongbranded / against the rules and 77 were declared not feasible for human consumption.
Of the 299 cases submitted by the Department of Food, 97 samples were decided where the fine of RS 3.71 Lakh was slapped on the offenders.
Singh also received information about the street food center under the Indian Food Conservation Initiative program that was being carried out between Huddard and Kesko schools.
Under this program, residents will get standard quality and food at one point.
