The Ministry of Health requests a Community Radio Station for Bust Covid Vaccination Myth

New Delhi: The Ministry of Health Union held a Communication Awareness Workshop for representatives from the Community Radio Stations from 16 states to create a campaign about the appropriate behavior of Covid and the myth of removers around vaccination in the regions living in remote areas.
The workshop was carried out by the Ministry in the Partnership with UNICEF, a official statement said.
The thematic session highlights the need to create a meaningful awareness campaign on the appropriate behavior of Covid and Bust myths around the covid vaccine and vaccination especially among people in remote areas and difficult to reach in the country.
In his opening speech, the Secretary of Joint LAV Agarwal admitted the contribution of the community radio stations in supporting the world’s largest vaccination drive, the statement said.
He noted that the ongoing efforts of radio stations by broadcasting informative programs on Covid vaccination for their smart listeners reflected in increasing community participation in ongoing vaccination drives for adults, he added.
Programs in regional languages ​​aimed at educating the public about the importance of covid behavior, handling myths and information related to vaccines and creating awareness about the progress of vaccination resulting in vaccination absorption among the many tribal districts, he said.
Radio stations were urged to highlight positive initiatives and role models led by the community to strengthen vaccine trust among the people they serve.
Mental health problems related to Covid-19 also focus, the statement said.
Collective responsibility to overcome mental health problems among the people through informative programming by being involved with subject experts from state and national levels emphasized, said.
Radio stations were asked to continue to remind listeners about the need to strictly follow the corresponding behavior of Covid because the second wave was still not over: the virus could attack back soon the community ignored the health advisor and reduced the covid safety protococol, it was said.
Representatives are encouraged to produce innovative programs and create ‘Jan Andolan’ (public movement) by displaying and recognizing community role models.
The participants shared how they removed the worries and concerns of their audience about Covid vaccines and motivated them to get Jab.
