The Ministry of Road to find the NOD Cabinet for Townships with Highway: Gadkari

Delhi Baru: The Ministry of Road Transportation and Highway will seek the Cabinet approval to enable the construction of smart cities, cities, logistics parks, and industrial clusters along the national highway, UNI Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Friday.
Overcoming a virtual event, Gadkari said the aim was to build a world-class road network and the Ministry of Road Transportation and Highway have deactivated plans to monetize existing highway projects for infrared capital plants.

to make roadside townships, smart cities, logistics parks, industrial clusters,” he said.
“We made 400 roadside facilities,” Gadkari added.
The Minister also said that his ministry plans to build a tunnel worth Rs 2.5 lakh Crore.
Gadkari also said that the use of steel and cement must be reduced in road construction without reducing quality through innovation and research.
He said CNG, LNG and ethanol must be used for road equipment machines.
The Minister emphasizes import substitution, cost effectively, pollution and customary-free methods and alternative fuel development.
Gadkari said India with around 63 lakh KMS of Road Network was the second largest road network in the world.
The government invests 1.4 trillion US dollars.
RS 111 Lakh Crores in infrastructure development through national infrastructure pipes (NIP), he added.
The government has also increased in infrastructure years in 34 percent to RS.
5.54 lakh crore this year, he said.
Increasing investment in infrastructure will help create work during Covid-19 pandemic, he added.
The minister said the goal was to build a 60,000 km national highway with a level of 40 km per day.
