New Delhi: The Directorate of Plantation under the Ministry of Housing has provided orders to direct the evictions of bungalows in 12 Janpath, New Delhi, allocated for late Ram Vilas Paswan.
At present, his wife, Son Chirag Paswan (a MP sitting) and other family members live in it.
The source said the eviction order passed on July 14 after serving the notification to the residents.
Although Chirag has a house allocated in his name to become the second MP, he has spent most of his time at 12 Janpath, which is one of the biggest bungalows in Lutyens Delhi.
The bungalow has become the address of the Lok Jansakti Party office (LJP).
Paswan has created office space for himself and Chirag is also on campus when he is still alive.
Toi has learned that before the eviction order passed last month, Chirag had approached the ministry looking for more time to empty the bungalow.
The source said he was also looking for whether he could take care of the bungalow until his father’s first birthday birthday.
Chirag does not respond to toi calls or messages.
Previously, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs had provided choice to Uncle Chirag Uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, who had made the cabinet minister in the last reshuffle, to take a bungalo 12 Janapth.
But he informally rejected him because he would send “wrong political message”.
Ram Vilalas Paswan lived in this house for almost three decades until his death.
