Mumbai: Mla congress and Congress Mumbai Congress President Zeeshan Siddiqui accused the Head of the City Unit of Bhai Jagtap in insulting him in a party event, exposing the cracks in the organization ahead of the crucial Mumbai Civic poll.
In a letter to the President of President Sonia Gandhi, November 15, Siddiqui alleged that when he had gone to participate in Morcha on November 14, which was also attended by the Congress of KK Venugopal and Maharashtra, HK Patil, Jagtap also made a statement insulting on him and his community.
Siddiqui has been looking for strict action against Jagtap, saying his behavior oppose the Congress Ethic.
The dispute between the party leaders did not add to the party ahead of the election of the Crucial Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), because early next year.
Congress, who once dominated city politics, only had four MLA from Mumbai in the State Assembly.
The party has also been reduced to third place in BMC.

“When Bhai Jagtap saw this, he rushed out and said no one else could enter,” said Siddiqui.
Siddiqui said he told Jagtap that he was his president.
“Instead of protecting me, you insult me.
It’s not fair,” said Siddiqui in the letter.
He further accused that Jagtap made comment insulting towards the community but was not complicated.
“Here, we fought against the BJP government, against fascism to protect secularism, social harmony and equality but the behavior of President Mumbai Congress demeaned,” he said.
“Being a fair, madam, I believe you to take strict action because this type, this behavior does not represent the principles and ethos of our Congress Party,” added Siddiqui.
