The most infected 21-40 year age group: Nashik Civic Body

Nashik: Just like during the first two waves of Covid-19 pandemic, people included in the 21-40 year age group continue to remain the most infected during the ongoing third wave.
According to data provided by Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), 42% of patients infected with the virus come from the age group.
However, 96% of the total active patients from all age groups in this city asymptomatic, while only 4% need hospitalization.
Although hospitalization in low active patients, most patients were hospitalized from the age group between 21 and 50.
Also, more than 16% of patients came from groups aged 41-50 years and 26% of infected patients above 51 years year.
“This is a trend for the first two waves of pandemic.
The age group between 21 and 40 years is a working class.
They go outside for work or business.
Therefore, the level of infection is higher in this age group,” said the NMC Medical Supervisory Bapurukeb Nagargoje .
“Even though there was a new covid positive case increase for the past few days, hospitalization was very low.
Of the total active patients, around 96% of them asymptomatic or slightly symptomatic and are under house isolation.
Only 4% are hospitalized and the number of patients Critical is very low, “said Health Officials from NMC said, adding most patients in hospitals also from the age group between 21 and 50 years.
