The most preferred computer science course for branch changes in Nitk

Mangaluru: The branch of computer science emerged as the most preferred, when it comes to branch changes at the Karnataka National Technology Institute (NITK) of Kapaykal.
This is followed by branches related to other computer science.
Just this academic year, 41 students have changed their branches.
Students at Nitk Maykal can change their branches after their first year.
Those who have secured a good CGPA, and has passed all loans prescribed in the first attempt, at the end of the first year, eligible to change their branch.
Manjunatha Sharma K, Associate Dean (UG), said that every year 40 to change students their branch.
However, branch changes are only possible if there are empty seats in Btech courses.
The chair is empty every time a candidate leaves a course in the middle of the road.
The same seats can be allocated during branch changes carried out after completion of two semesters.
“The most preferred branch is computer science, followed by information technology, electronics and communication, electronic and other techniques.
The most preferred branch preferences can also change from time to time, in accordance with the current trend in the industry,” he said.
Branch changes are carried out wisely, such as OBC, women’s quota and others.
Those who have secured CGPA from seven, for the reservation category, and above, eligible to register.
“Branch changes help students go for the course that he cannot get to enter.
To replace the branch, two factors are very important: First, candidates must have good academic performance, and also the availability of seats in a particular branch,” said a faculty member.
Mining is the least preferred course for branch changes.
