The muliakiri was closed for 4 days from December 16

Chikkamagaluru: The administrative district of Chikkamagaluru will close Mulianygiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, for four days, from December 16.
Officials have issued a travel advisor who asked tourists not to visit the Bukit Temple in the Malnad district of December 17, because religious events were held at Datta Peeta.
Deputy Commissioner Chikkamagaluru K n Ramesh said that the Datta Jayanti Festival will be celebrated at Dattatreya Teacher Baba Budan Dargah.
The main ritual will be held on December 17, 18 and 19.
Before the Datta Mala Abhiyan event, the district administration will limit the entry of tourists into the temple in Mullanyagiri, Sitalayyanagiri, Manikyadhara, Honnamana Halla and Datta Peeta.
Tourists who have made reservations at hotels and homestays around the temple can stay there, but cannot visit the temple due to security issues, Deputy Commissioners stated.
