The municipality to get Rs 1 Crore to complete the proposed work, said Goa CM Pramod Sawant

Panaji: Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said on Saturday that the state government would transfer funds to Rs 1 Crore for the City and Rs 50 Lakh to Panchayats before December 19, so they could complete the project they had proposed.

He said that in September-October, PM Narendra Modi would speak with Swayampurna Mitras and Sarpanchs from Panchayats chosen virtually at Swayampurna Goa.

The Government Ambitious Project, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat – Swayampurna Goa’, aims to make an independent state, begins in June after being suspended in May to increase the sharp Covid case.
The minister’s chairman held a review of a review with members of Panchayat and Swayampurna Mitras in Swayampurna Goa, and said that all Panchayats were ready to provide online services to their citizens.
Sawant said that 151 services are available online.
Swayampurna Mitras highlights their work in Pancrayat respectively, including bringing more land under cultivation, providing various government schemes, water and electrical connections.
Showing how the recently passed Goa Panchayat (Amendment) bills, 2021, to allow people to build one floor in their existing home with only permission from Pancayat, Minister Mauavin Godinho urged Panchayat members to appreciate the decision of the state and government Vocal on social media about the benefits of bills.
Under Swayampurna Goa, Panchayats and the municipality should get funds under the 15th Finance Commission and under funds allocated for the 60th celebration of Goa Liberation.
Country, through a scheme, wants to ensure 100% coverage of water and electrical connections to people.
The state has roamed the Ministry of Agriculture to increase agricultural production, so the country does not have to depend on other countries.
At present, the state depends on neighboring countries for milk, eggs, vegetables and food grains, among others.
