Bhubaneswar: Towards the election of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the names of at least 10,000 voters have appeared in different environments, they do not belong.
This has happened in all 67 wards under the body of Civic.
The BMC authority detects the problem while preparing ward ward ward selection rolls and divides the appropriate voter’s name.
Authorities find the names of certain environmental elections where they should provide the sound mentioned in the roll in the neighboring ward.
“The problem will be resolved on Friday.
People can come and raise objections if their names are not found on rolls of ward,” said the Additional District Judge Prafulla Kumar Swain.
Of the total 7.27,456 voters in the capital, Ward No.
8 has 26,592 voters, the highest of the ward.
There has been an increase of around 1.27 lakh voters this time, compared to the 2014 poll, said a BMC official.
The Civic body authorities say there will be no additional voters to the voter list, because according to the State Election Commission (SEC), eligible voters need to be registered in the roll on January 1, 2022.
