New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday appointed Rakesh Kumar Jain – Retired Haryana High Court Judge – to monitor investigations in the case of Kherhimpur’s violence to ensure “transparency, justice, and absolute impartiality”.
The violence claimed eight lives.
The court also conducted a recording of a special investigation team (sitting) by triggering three senior IPS officers.
Chairman of the Chief Judge and Ramana and Judge Surya Kant and Hima Kohli said: “When investigating such violations, justice does not only have to be done, but also looks and is considered.
We, thus, consider it according to re-reassee to preserve the faith People in the administration.
“It appointed officers SB Shiradkar IPS cadres, who fell from Maharashtra, to lead sitting.
It also compiled two other Cadre IPS officers, also from outside the country, in the team.
“To ensure full justice to the victims, we tend to order an ongoing investigation monitored by Retired HD HC, which also may not have its roots above.
