Nagpur: National Achievement Survey (NAS), where students are tested on their understanding of core subjects, held throughout the country on Friday.
In the Nagpur district, the exam was held in 232 randomly selected schools for nearly 7,000 students.
Tests, which are held throughout the country, will help the authorities get a better picture of the learning gap that might result in, regardless of regular goals to formulate academic policies.
Milind Wankhede, Head of Vidarbha Prathmik Shatsyaki Sangh, opposed to conducting an exam for at least younger children.
“We demand that the date should be pushed forward.
There are two reasons for that, the first is the security point and the second is academic.
Because locking has a learning gap that we can discuss after the physical class starts.
So, the Holding NAS will now show bad results which will not be accurate because of the applicable situation, “Wankhede said.
According to educational officials, the test went smoothly.
CBSE, which manages the test, will also spread special software to track individuals or exam centers that indulge themselves in unfair practices.
NAS as a non-core exam is sometimes vulnerable to allegations that the teacher asks for answers to students, only to improve the sign.
While the authorities do not accept that such a thing might happen, they move forward with the mechanism which can ultimately eliminate the opportunity for things like that to happen.
CBSE said special software that will identify cheat will help strengthen NAS reliability.
While CBSE uses technology to increase justice in NAS, the Maharashtra government has formed an educational technology forum.
Varsha School Minister Varsha Gaikwad said, “The forum will function as an open platform for free ideas about the use of technology to improve learning, assessment, planning and school administration.” He said that senior representatives from Google, Microsoft, conscious, persistent, Dell, Amazon, C-DAC included being part of this forum.
