Ranchi: Jharkhand Congress on Monday officially launched a special membership drive with the target of registering 15 new members of Lakh to the party.
The State Party President Rajesh Thakur, along with a senior office carrier, began a journey from the old assembly building campus in the HEC area on Monday.
Overcoming party workers, Thakur said, “Membership drives will accommodate keys for better party performance and foothold in future elections in the state.
Members are party ambassadors and we want to register 15 Lakh members through this drive.” Which is on occasion That includes the Minister of Rural Development and the leader of the legislative party Alamgir Alam, his cabinet colleagues Banna Gupta (Health) and Badal Patralekh.
Poriyahat MLA Pradeep Yadav said that Congress has hit 27% of orders for OBC in the state and OBC people must be encouraged to join the party folds.
MP Singhbhum Geeta Kora and party president worked hard emphasizing that at least 50 new members must be registered at outlets to strengthen the party.
Congress is part of the government of the powerful alliance in the state along with JMM and RJD.
Thakur said that they did many steps to increase the party at grassroots.
“Significant Congress in the National Government as the oldest party and therefore, he must achieve the power to revive himself in all states.
We are working on the direction at Jharkhand,” he said.
