Gurgaon: Ambitious City E-Vehicle Zone Project quickly gained momentum.
MCG has decided to build a waiting area in all the proposed e-Vehicle Stand in the zone.
The toilet will also be built near every e-vehicle stand.
In addition, around 400 charging points will be arranged in the proposed zone, officials said.
While the concession holder from the e-Vehicle zone was asked to build a waiting area and set the charging points at a meeting on Thursday, the Civic body would ensure the construction of toilets near each stand e-vehtle in the city, according to officials.
“The MCG Commissioner has asked the concession holder to submit a report on the market in the proposed e-vehicle zone, the regional population and the number of electronic electronics which will be attached to the zone,” said Senior MCG official to Ti.
“Moreover, it was also decided at a meeting that no diesel or CNG Autos would be permitted in the e-vehicle zone.
Free shuttle service will also be given at first in the e-vehicle zone,” he added.
In addition, it was also recommended at a meeting that a separate corridor must be made in the e-vehicle zone for e-rickshaw because this is a slow moving vehicle and that every electronic vehicle must carry the zone information.
“It was also decided to make a list of available rates for the public,” the official said.
