Noida: Umesh Kumar District Administrative Judge conducted ‘Bhoomi Puja’ for the new family court building, in the District Court complex in the city, on Sunday.
Official data states that there are more than 4,900 cases delayed in the family court which until now managed in the same building along with other courts.
These cases can now be handled from a dedicated new building that is expected to be ready next year.
The new building was being built following orders from the High Court of Allahabad who instructed a special building to accommodate four family trials at the complex district court.
After the new building is ready, four family courts will function from a new place.
