LONDON: New security partnerships between the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia will accelerate the development of advanced defense technology, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Thursday.
The partnership, known as the Aukus, will initially provide Australia with technology and the ability to spread nuclear-powered submarines.
“While our partnership will begin with a nuclear power submarine, now we have created aucus we hope to accelerate the development of other advanced defense systems including in cyber, artificial intelligence, quantum computing and underwater abilities,” Johnson said to Parliament.
