Czech Automaker Skoda prepares to launch a new medium size sedan scheduled to hit the Indian road early next year.
Replying to users on Twitter, Zac Hollis, brand director at Skoda Auto India said that the new sedan would not be a substitute for Skoda Rapid.
Instead, it will be positioned above the fast now and will be launched at the end of this year.

This notchback design feature from behind, is similar to Skoda Octavia.

The fast model is currently offered with a price range between Rs 7.79 Lakh and Rs 13.29 Lakh (former showroom).
Skoda Rapid was powered by a 1.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine, able to produce 110 PS maximum power and peak torque of 175 Nm.
After being launched, a medium size sedan is likely to be positioned against Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
