WhatsApp has introduced new settings for archived chats folders that will help you ignore the chat marked as archived.
Archived chat folders usually reappear in the main chat list when you get a new message on WhatsApp.
With this new feature, archived messages will continue to be stored in the archived chats folder.
The only time this chat will reappear is when you choose to manually disburse the conversation.
This optional feature and WhatsApp will allow you to return to previous settings if you don’t find it useful.
Note that chat archiving does not delete chat or support it to your SD card.
Also, you will not accept notifications for archived conversations unless you are mentioned or answered.
This might be useful for the chat you want to ignore.

Tap the archive button at the top of the screen.
To archive all chat, on the Chat tab, tap More Options> Settings.
Tap Chat> Chat history> Archives all chat.
