New Delhi: questioned the unbelief of the NHRC committee who asked for complaints of violence after the poll in West Bengal, based on where the High Court ordered the CBI investigation, the state government argued before the Supreme Court that some of its members were linked to BJP and it looked like “BJP Investigation Committee”.
Initially brief hearing, senior advocacy of Kapil Sibal, emerged for the state government, told the judicial bench Vineet advice and Aniruddha Bose that the NHRC chairman should not choose people with the BJP link to be part of the committee.
He said that the committee consisted of members who were members of the BJP or known to be closely related to the party, he said that one of the statues of Adat Rasheed was the former President of the Union of ABVP Satyawati College and opposed the city of Delhi elections in 2021 on BJP tickets and also served as president BJP Minority Morcha.
Referring to other members Rajulben L Desai, who was a member of the National Commission for Women (NCW), Sibal said he was associated with Gujarat BJP Mahila Morcha and in 2017 responsible for the Gujarat BJP Beti Bachao project and Beti Padhao.

The state government approached the Supreme Court against the orders of the Calcutta High Court directing the CBI probe into the incident of violence after the poll in the state.
Expressing a lack of confidence in the central body, the government of Bengal said that the CBI acted on the central commandment and targeting the functioning of the powerful Trinamool Congress.
